Juvedérm® For Stunning Results
Have you always dreamed of having fuller lips or have you noticed your lips thinning over time? Have you noticed fine lines around your mouth? If so, Juvéderm® Volbella may be your answer. Volbella was created to add subtle volume to the lips and smooth the appearance of vertical lip lines. Patients can expect a more natural looking result that lasts up to one year.
Much like other fillers, Volbella is made from Hyaluronic Acid which is a “water-loving” substance that occurs naturally in the body. However, by using patented Vycross™ technology, Volbella is different in the way it is designed to be soft, smooth, long lasting and have a greater lift capacity than many other lip fillers. In addition, its unique technology allows it to absorb less water and therefore reduce the amount of swelling that can occur in the lips compared to traditional dermal and lip fillers.
During clinical trials, 80% of people treated with Juvéderm® Volbella experienced improved satisfaction with their lips one year later, and 75% of people treated experienced improved satisfaction with their vertical lip lines one year later. They also required less product to achieve their desired results when retreated after one year. The most common side effects included temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. Side effects were mild or moderate (uncomfortable) and generally lasted 30 days or less.
Juvedérm® Voluma XC is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel filler to correct age-related volume loss in the midface. Made of hyaluronic acid (a natural occurring substance found in skin), this soft, pliable gel is indicated for cheek augmentation.
Juvederm® Voluma XC works to reverse the signs of aging by instantly lifting, sculpting, and contouring the cheek region. The injections are nearly painless as the product contains lidocaine and is injected deeper into the skin where there are fewer nerves. During a Juvéderm Voluma treatment session, your provider will make a series of injections to your cheek area. To ensure Voluma is evenly distributed, your provider will gently massage the treatment area. The number of injections you require to achieve optimal results will be determined by your provider. After treatment, ice will be applied to reduce swelling and redness.
Immediately after treatment, you can expect an increase in facial volume and fullness and a gentle lifting of sagging skin around the cheek area. Since it is normal to experience some facial swelling around the treatment area, it may take up to two weeks for you to see your full results. The results from Juvéderm® Voluma can last up to two years, and you will only require touch-up treatments after this time to maintain your desired contours.
Side effects are moderate and generally last 2 to 4 weeks. Common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC softens moderate to severe lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. By adding volume locally, Vollure XC produces subtle and long-lasting results that can last up to 18 months. Vollure is used to treat marionette lines, which are the lines that develop between the corners of your mouth as well as along your jawline and chin. Vollure is also used to add volume to nasolabial folds, fill in wrinkles and lines that are considered mild to moderate and to revitalize the lower section of your face.
Vollure uses a patented Vycross technology that combines both low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acids to produce a smooth filler with minimal swelling. It draws less water into the treated area than other similar fillers which means very little downtime following treatment. Side effects noted have been mild or moderate and lasted 14 days or less.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC injectable gel is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that contains a small quantity of local anesthetic (lidocaine) and is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection.
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a thicker filler that helps restore moderate-to-severe volume loss in the face. The most notable areas of the face where Ultra Plus is used are in the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, though it’s also used in the mid-face. Marionette lines are the wrinkles that start from the corners of your mouth and extend down to your chin. They can make you look unhappy when you’re not.
Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last about 1 year. Side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injection site responses such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.
What are Dermal Fillers?
As we age, our skin begins to lose collagen filled with hyaluronic acid (HA). Collagen and HA add structure and volume to the face, therefore this lack of HA causes our skin to sag and wrinkle. Dermal Fillers were created as a great option for those who want to smooth out these fine lines, fill deeper set wrinkles, or enhance facial volume without undergoing a facelift. These smooth injectable gels, made from naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, can add volume to weakened facial features and stimulate collagen growth. Millions of people use dermal fillers to achieve a younger, more relaxed, and smooth facial appearance while still having the freedom of expression.
Dermal Fillers plump skin and gently lift it to restore collagen loss due to the normal aging process. They also motivate the body to create its own natural collagen and restore your face to a more natural, youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are approved by the FDA and are minimally invasive and very safe. As with any procedure, there are some possible risks, the most common is post-procedure bruising and swelling which are usually very minimal and resolve quickly. Dermal filler treatments typically take 20-40 minutes and the amount of dermal filler needed will depend on volume loss and the areas you would like to restore to its natural beauty. You should see the results immediately after the treatmen
