Chiropractic

What is Chiropractic?

Doctors of chiropractic have a preference for natural therapies for health and wellness and do not prescribe medication or perform surgery.  We use our hands to apply therapies and as a component of reaching a diagnosis.  Our medically based core education and clinical experience gives us the information needed to promote and encourage health through diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits.  Our care is commonly used in conjunction with conventional medical staff and services, and patients are referred for conventional care when more severe health problems occur.

Often, as chiropractors, patients come to us first with many health problems.  We always have the patients’ best interest at heart in everything we do.  Many times in our office our patients will have the time to talk with us very thoroughly about all aspects of their health.

Although we are trained and educated to help manage all aspects of your health, adjusting the spine and extremity joints is our central focus.  We very commonly address the pain of musculoskeletal conditions with chiropractic adjusting and soft tissue techniques.  Modern chiropractic has been around for over 100 years and records indicate  osseous manual therapies dating backing over 4,000 years ago.  In fact, Hippocrates (The Father of Medicine, 460-370 BC) performed a form of spinal manipulation.
